Gasworks Website Transformation
Why Website Speed Matters
A fast website isn’t just a technical upgrade — it directly affects trust, search visibility, and lead generation for service businesses.
- 53% of users abandon a site if it takes longer than 3 seconds to load (Google).
- A 0.1s improvement can increase conversions by up to 8.4% (Google/Deloitte).
- Google now uses Core Web Vitals as ranking factors, meaning faster sites earn better visibility and more clicks.
For local service companies like Gasworks, speed translates into more calls, more appointments, and stronger credibility.
Challenge: Slow Mobile Performance
Gasworks’ previous website, originally built years ago on WiX, looked fine visually — but the platform introduced significant limitations that held back performance. On mobile, the site scored 70, with an LCP of 7.3s, far beyond recommended thresholds.
Solution:
We rebuilt the entire site with a lean, performance-first architecture. The new build achieves near-perfect mobile performance, with load times measured in milliseconds instead of seconds and a dramatically reduced LCP.

Challenge: Technical Bloat and Inefficient Scripts
The old site suffered from:
- Large JavaScript bundles
- Render-blocking scripts
- Reflow and layout shift issues
- Multiple unnecessary preconnect warnings
- Unoptimized images
- Repeated console errors
All of these slowed down the site, created instability, and hurt overall SEO.
Solution:
We removed every unnecessary script, optimized all assets, and replaced unstable components with clean, modern code. The new site delivers consistently fast load times, predictable layout rendering, and error-free operation.

Challenge: Console Errors and Script Failures
The previous website’s console was filled with recurring errors and warnings caused by outdated scripts and platform limitations.
Solution:
We rebuilt the codebase from scratch, removing all unstable components. The result is a fully stable site with zero console errors — ensuring long-term reliability.

Challenge: Excessive Network Requests & Heavy Assets
The previous site made 149 network requests, processed 13.16MB of data, and transferred 198KB — all for a simple contractor website.
Solution:
We reduced the site to 16 network requests and transferred only 62.9KB. With optimized assets and minimal overhead, the site loads nearly instantly for users on all devices.
